Science
Students in
grades Five through Eight receive daily science instruction from
the school’s full-time science teacher in the well-equipped
1,400-square foot Science Lab. Experiential learning is
emphasized with many hands-on opportunities. Students perform
scientific experiments, dissections and lab work.
Areas of
emphasis are:
- Fifth
Grade---Introduction to science including electricity,
plants, invertebrates and the periodic table.
- Sixth
Grade—Earth Science including rocks, volcanoes, the earth’s
crust and earthquakes.
- Seventh
Grade---Biology including anatomy and dissection.
- Eighth
Grade---Physical Science including chemistry and physics.
